The People Behind the Mission

SVP Denver is a small staff backed by a board of directors whose members bring deep expertise across sectors and a shared commitment to building a more equitable Denver.

Our Staff

Meet the team working day-to-day to connect social mission organizations with the resources, expertise, and community they need to thrive.

Theresa Rinne-Meyers
CEO

Theresa brings over a decade of experience in economic mobility and systems change spanning small business development, healthy food access, workforce development, and education. She previously served as Director of Development and Community Impact at Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute where she helped scale inclusive programs that combined capital, education, and mentorship to reduce barriers for underrepresented entrepreneurs. Prior to that, she lived and worked in Washington, D.C. as Chief of Staff at DC Central Kitchen, a nationally recognized anti-hunger and social enterprise organization.

A connector, coalition-builder, and collective impact strategist, Theresa believes deeply in breaking down silos and aligning capital, policy, and community voice to create transformational change. Theresa has written for Nonprofit Quarterly and other publications, presented at national conferences, and served on multiple statewide advisory boards. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in nonprofit management and social entrepreneurship from Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Luke is a community builder and connector who firmly believes relationships hold the key to success. Anchored in this belief, he's advanced missions at food access, education, and human services organizations that include Community Food Share (a Feeding America member food bank), Mile High United Way, and Playworks Colorado. Luke has also served as a bilingual elementary educator and librarian at Beach Court Elementary on Denver's Northside. In a classroom, coffee shop, or conference room, he's focused on bringing communities together to drive collective impact and change.

Luke is thrilled to help expand SVP Denver's partner network and support its thriving social impact ecosystem. He holds undergraduate degrees in international relations, Spanish, and economics from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a future Masters of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. Aside from his educational and professional pursuits, Luke is proud to have completed several ultramarathons, successfully recovered his stolen bicycle, and is enjoying life as a (mostly) retired wedding DJ.
