Common Questions

SVP Denver's accelerator programs give Metro Denver nonprofits and social enterprises the tools, structure, and expert guidance to tackle their most pressing capacity challenges. Each program brings together a cohort of impact organizations for a focused, time-limited experience led by a subject matter expert and supported by SVP Denver Partners. The work you do in the room translates directly into deliverables you can use the moment the program ends.

How much time do the accelerators require?

Plan on roughly 2 to 5 hours per week for the duration of the program. That includes attending live sessions and working with your team between meetings. Each organization should designate a project lead who can commit to the full schedule and attend all sessions. If you have 1 to 3 additional staff or board members who can join, even better. Sessions are recorded and notes are shared after each one, so your broader team can stay in the loop even if they can't always be there live.

What does it cost?

The programs are free. SVP Denver is funded through grants and individual donations, which allows us to offer high-value training at no cost to participating organizations. We're committed to making these programs accessible, especially to organizations that don't have the budget to hire outside consultants or pay for capacity-building support on their own.

Are the accelerators in-person or virtual?

It depends on the program. The Fundraising Accelerator and Impact Investment Accelerator run as an in-person cohort, with four two-hour sessions held at the Park Hill Innovation Hub in Northeast Denver. The Theory of Change Cohort has been offered in both online and in-person formats.
